Privacy Policy
Last updated October 12, 2026
This policy explains what information NYC Hidden Hour ("we", "us") collects when you use this website, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
You can browse this site without creating an account. We do not ask for your name or payment details. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write, and we use it only to reply. If you submit an event through our form, the details you enter (name, email, event information) are sent to our inbox through a form-delivery service (FormSubmit) and used only to review and contact you about your submission. Our hosting provider and our service providers may automatically record technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type and pages viewed.
Search and filters
The search box and filters run in your browser, and what you type or select is not sent to us.
Saved events, the weekend list and Ask Hidden Hour
Events you save with the heart are stored only in your browser on your device, and we cannot see them. The "Ask Hidden Hour" box runs in your browser and answers only from the events and pages on this site; what you type is not sent to us. If you sign up for the weekend list, we receive your email address through our form provider (FormSubmit), use it only to send you the list, and you can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any email.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use essential storage to remember your cookie choice. If you choose "Accept all", we use Google Analytics to measure how many people visit and which pages they view. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies and may collect information such as your approximate location, device and browser type, and pages visited. We also have Google signals turned on in Google Analytics. This lets Google associate visit data with signed-in Google accounts of visitors who have allowed ad personalization, which can provide aggregated information such as age range, gender and interests. You can control ad personalization in your Google account settings at myadcenter.google.com. If you choose "Accept all", advertising scripts from our ad network, Adsterra, may also load, and advertisers and ad networks such as Adsterra and Google AdSense may use cookies and similar technologies. If you choose "Essential only", neither analytics nor advertising scripts are loaded, with one exception: a script from our travel affiliate network, Travelpayouts, loads on all pages so that links to partner travel and ticket sites can be recognized and tracked as affiliate links. That script may set cookies or similar identifiers, and we may earn a commission if you book through those links. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from the "Cookie settings" link in the footer, and you can also block cookies in your browser settings.
Advertising
Some links on this site are sponsored or affiliate links, including partner banners and links to ticketing and travel partners. If you click one and make a purchase or booking, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. These links are marked, and they never change which events we list.
We show ads served by Adsterra and may also show ads from Google AdSense and other third-party vendors. Ads and partner offer widgets (from Travelpayouts) load only if you choose "Accept all" in the cookie banner. Adsterra and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show and measure ads; see adsterra.com/privacy-policy. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our sites and other sites on the internet.
You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can opt out of personalized advertising at google.com/settings/ads. You can also visit aboutads.info to opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising. Where required, such as in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we ask for your consent before using cookies for personalized ads.
Third-party links
Event listings link to organizers, venues and ticketing sites. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please read their policies.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. California residents may also have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hiddenhournyc@gmail.com.
